The Private Rental Access Program (PRAP) is currently accessible by worker referral only and is available to clients that are involved with specific southern catchment services.

Women and children escaping family violence are accepted when referred by WAYSS and Southern catchment Good Shepherd.

Mental Health clients are accepted when referred by Southern Health and the Eastern Region Mental Health Association within the Southern catchment.

Young people are accepted when referred by Peninsula Youth and Family services, Springvale Community and Advice Bureau and WAYSS.

PRAP staff are able to offer limited support in accessing private rental options.  The Brokerage component of PRAP is a time and amount limited subsidy that ensures the private rental does not become insecure while case management strategies are being implemented
